How does GhostAlias generate a code name?
Every tap of Generate randomly pairs one word from a curated modifier bank (400+ words like OBSIDIAN, SILENT, ARMORED) with one word from a curated noun bank (380+ words like FALCON, ANTENNA, REARGUARD). That's thousands of possible two-word combinations, styled after real military/intelligence operation names and the fictional program names from films like the Bourne series.
Can I get the same code name twice?
It's possible — each generation is an independent random pick, so repeats can happen occasionally, the same way rolling two dice can repeat. If a result doesn't feel right, just tap Generate again.
How do I save or use the name I get?
Tap the generated name on screen to copy it straight to your clipboard, then paste it wherever you need it — a doc, a chat, a ticket title, anywhere.
How do I turn off the voice and sound effects?
Tap the speaker icon in the top-right corner of the screen. It toggles between sound on and muted, and GhostAlias remembers your choice the next time you open the app.
Does GhostAlias need microphone access?
No. GhostAlias never listens to anything. The voice you hear is synthesized speech generated on your device using Apple's built-in text-to-speech, not a recording, and GhostAlias never requests microphone access.
Does GhostAlias need an internet connection?
No. Every part of GhostAlias — the word generation, the animation, and the synthesized voice — runs entirely on your device. It works fully offline, permanently.
Is my data collected or shared anywhere?

Is GhostAlias available for iPad or Android?
GhostAlias is currently iPhone-only. It will run on an iPad in compatibility mode, but the layout is designed and tuned for iPhone screens.
